Oh Deer!

A few weeks ago Erik left for work about 4:50am and about 5 min later I get a call. It was Erik telling me he just hit a deer. He said he was going about 50mph and it came out of nowhere. It hit the grill on his truck and then he drove over top of it. I'm so glad he was OK. I was going out later that day so when I drove by where he said he hit it. The poor thing didn't have a chance! it looked like it died instantly in the road where he hit it and later someone pushed it off to the side.

Property

On Saturday the whole Carlson clan went to our new property we got together. It's 11 acres with a beautiful view of Mt. Bachelor and other hills and valleys. Hopefully we'll build a cabin of some sort so we can do some camping. My biggest fear was and is rattle snakes. Don't get me wrong, I am not afraid of snakes, just afraid the kids will get bit by one. It's about 30 miles from bend and about 3 miles off the highway. It has some amazing and interesting trees and the kids loved to play in the sandy dirt. I will post pictures of the view I just need to figure out how to from my iPhone.
